Yikes!!

We just had quite a storm. Lightening struck very near our house. So close that it set off our fire alarm. Annie and Emma made it downstairs in record time. Annie was white-faced and shaking. Tim went back upstairs to sleep with her while Emma moved into my bed. We were all a little freaked out except Papa who can evidentally sleep through anything.

Morning fun

This morning Sarah Beth was having lots of fun in her high chair.

She had some goldfish. Not exactly the breakfast of champions but it worked since I haven't been grocery shopping in a while. She had fun moving them from one side of the tray to the other. It was like she was counting.

Then she switched to offering me some.

Once she was out of her high chair she decided that making muffins looked fun. I had just finished so she used the empty bag, dirty bowl and spatula to pretend. It was so cute!!

A new look

Sarah Beth just started sticking her tongue out this week. She does it all. The. Time. It is adorable.

Evidentally she doesn't care which side of her moth her tongue is on so long as it is out!

15 months

Sarah Beth had her 15 month check up last week. We are blessed that she is a very healthy girl!

The fourth

We had a totally different kind of fourth this year. It was so quiet, but it was good. We went to church. Emma and Sarah Beth were especially decked out in their red white and blue. They looked ready for a picnic. After church we just had a quiet afternoon. I worked on Hague training. The girls napped. Eventually we went and got some fireworks. They were almost out, but we got a package of 24 artillery shells for $40! We ended up saving those for the next night to do with Mom, Dad, DeeDee and Josh.

For our fourth we grilled out, played badminton, turned on the sprinklers, swang, roasted marshmallows for smores, and spread a blanket out in the back yard to star gaze and catch a few fireworks above the treetops. It was perfect!

There were a coue of funny Annie moments. First I was checking out her nose, which actually means that I was taking care of some bumps that had shown up. I told her my nose used to look just like that and that her forehead probably would break out at some point too. She said, "Does that mean I have acne?" I told her not yet, but that most kids have it. She said, "Then I should get some proactiv." I cracked up. Later when we were on the blanket and it was dark, she began to get a little freaked out. We had already moved from the frontto the back yard because she felt more comfortable there, but she wouldn't sit down. She was just standing up beside the blanket. We were telling her to join us and she said, "No. I am going to stand up. That way I can get away quicker if something comes out of the woods!"

New Fridge

It doesn't sound too exciting, but I do love my new refrigerator. Emma, being the little organizer that she is, took it upon herself to move all of the food from the old fridge to the new one. She recruited Sarah Beth to help her. Sarah Beth stood at the old one and took things out--peeping out from behind the door and handing them to Emma. It was too cute!

Of course everything seems to have some degree of sentamentality attached to it--even old refrigerators. When Emma would get an apple out of the old one she would peel off the sticker and put it on the inside of the door. There was a huge collection of apple stickers there.

Tim has told her no stickers on the new one, but honestly I wouldn't mind a bit!

Sarah Bethisms

The other night Tim sat down in a chair in the family room to watch TV.  Sarah Beth walked over and grabbed his hand and started pulling on it.  His first thought was that she wanted him to go somewhere with her so he stood up.  She then gave him a push on his knee as if to push him out of the way.  We started to laugh.  Then she began to pat on the seat of the chair.  Tim sat back down.  That was not what she wanted.  She started to pull on his hand again and the whole thing began again.  This time when she patted on the chair, I went and sat down.  She crawled up next to me and got all lovey.

This morning Tim was washing and waxing his truck.  Sarah Beth was helping wipe the wax off when all the sudden she threw the rag down and went to get her little car.  She pushed it over to where Tim was, so he handed her the rag.  She handed it back, got in her car, and motioned for him to wash her car!

Lollipops

I love that Annie licks lollipops until they just get very thin while Emma will bite into them finishing one off in a fraction of the time that Annie does.

Day 4.

We went to Animal Kingdom and had a blast. We began our morning seeing this:

Such a neat way to begin our day!
Tim went for Exhibition Everest fastpasses first thing. Doug kept Madeline and Sarah Beth while Mandy, Annie, Emma and I rode Primeval Whirl. We laughed through the whole thing! Then while Doug rode with Annie, Emma, and Mandy, Tim watched Madeline and Sarah Beth and I rode Triceratop Spin two times in a row. Then we rode again with the rest of the girls! Sarah Beth loved it!

We went to breakfast with Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and Mickey. It was great! The girls had so much fun watching Uncle Doug eat.

Doug, Annie, Emma and I went to Finding Nemo while Mandy fed Madeline and Tim took Sarah Beth for a stroll. We met back up, and Tim watched Sarah Beth and Madeline while the rest of us rode Expedition Everest.

From there we rode Kilimanjaro Safari. Sarah Beth was pretty excited and the big girls took turns taking pictures. We ended our day there by me putting Madeline on in the Baby Bjorn and pushing Sarah Beth inthe stroller while everyone else went to ride Kali River Rapids. They got pretty wet. The littles and I walked the gorilla trail where they got pretty excited about the fish.

By then it was hot and we were tired. We headed out with plans for the water park.

We napped for a bit, went and played at Blizzard Beach for two hours where we all had lots of fun. I stayed with Sarah Beth in the little kid area for a while so everyone else could ride some of the big slides. Then we rode the family raft ride which is so long and fun. Emma crossed the pieces of ice and rode on the rope thing while Annie and Mandy went and rode Slush Gusher. They actually rode it twice. It made me a little nervous. Annie said, "What's the worst that could happen?". I told her I wasn't even going to think about it.

We went to the pool bar for supper when we got back and actually swam some more. The menu was pretty limited so Emma got to order pizza In a very cool Bento box. Such a fun day!
