Sarah Beth is such a sweet little friend. She had two birthday parties yesterday, and it made me really happy to see how kind and gentle she is with her friends who are younger than her. She loves to be with her friends, but she is also confident enough to do her own thing--as long as I am right there beside her. :)
When I got home last night with Sarah Beth, Emma wanted to curl up in my lap. So did Maggie and Sarah Beth. They all had a turn, but I love that after all this time, Emma is still a little snuggle bunny.
Annie has made her periodic table of whatever for my class. She chose presidents and has the last four presidents and their cabinets as her topic. I was really impressed. I have loved having her in class. She does such a good job answering questions--often making observations about the content that no one makes the rest of the day.
Maggie got so excited when we put up our Christmas tree tonight. She loved it! When we turned out the lights, she was even more excited just dancing through the room. Yesterday she was with Tim at a football game. They were in the club level, and while he was talking, she walked right up to a coach, stuck out her hand, and said, "I'm Maggie. What's your name?" He did the only thing he could do. He laughed and answered her. Tim went over to her, and she told him, "I didn't hug him, and I didn't tell him I love him." She's learning. Haha.

Thanksgiving
"Sarah Beth, what are you thankful for today?"
"I'm thankful for jumping pillow poop."
Okay.
Maggie says, "I'm thankful for eyes to see and ears to hear. I'm thankful for nose to smell and fingers to touch."
I'm thankful for these two silly little girls that make every day a lot more fun!

Emma was practicing for all-state choir tonight. She was singing Ave Maria and said, "I like this song, and I don't like this song." I had a feeling I knew what was coming. She continued, "I like it because it is short. I don't like it because it is in Latin. The only words I know are Jesus and A-men!" The best part was the way she drew out Jesus and Amen in a long, southern drawl. It was great.

Yesterday at the pool Maggie decided to show a friend of mine, someone she had never met before, how she can go underwater. First she had to get her goggles on. Then she ducked her head underwater and held it there for a couple of seconds. She stood back up and before anyone could comment, she said, "I'm awesome!" We both agreed. Ha.
Today Sarah Beth threw Maggie's Duffy bear. Maggie was not too happy with this. She looked at Sarah Beth and said, "Can I throw your Duffy bear?" Sarah Beth said, "No." Maggie replied, "Then don't throw mine!" She's heard that before!

Emma was watching Beauty and the Beast with my dad. Lumiere did something to Cogworth, and Emma said, "If he ever touched me like that, I'd blow his candles out." Emma is getting so big. Recently she has been doing laundry, and she cleaned out the entire laundry room. It was totally her idea!
Sarah Beth tried to kiss Tim like Princess Jasmine the other night. She put her lips right on his and started turning her head.
Sarah Beth and Maggie love singing the Bible school songs. Sarah Beth shakes her little behind to "Up From the Grave." That could be a first for that song! I love the way she says, "Hal-Ye-Lu-La!" Maggie just sings and giggles.
Annie is the calm in the midst of all of it. She has done so well with the two little girls lately. She has been babysitting and doing a really good job of it!

I love the way Sarah Beth says things. "We gotta be rearry careful." "I love you Very much." She puts a lot of emphasis on her R's. It is so sweet.
Tonight she told me she wanted noodle soup for supper. She chose the kind in a box and wanted to help make it. I let her help me put the water in the pot and put a lid on it. She was so proud of herself. She put potholders on and clapped her little hands together. She was so happy. When Tim got home, she looked up at him from the stool she was sitting on and said, "I want you to take me to get pizza." She had a sweet little smile on her face, and it was pretty clear that he wasn't going to hesitate to say yes.
She had trouble falling asleep tonight, and she said, "I haven't had seconds on my bottle, Mommy." I didn't tell her that at three years old, she shouldn't really be having firsts on a bottle.
