Spring

Sarah Beth wore the cutest spring outfit today. It was over 60 degrees today, and even though she napped through most of it her colorful outfit just made me happy. Of course she does that no matter what!

Toothbrushes

Sarah Beth loves to entertain herself with a drawer full of toothbrushes while she is in our bathroom. This morning she was trying to brush her hair with each one while they were still in the package. So cute!

The sweetheart ball

Tim and Emma just left for the Sweetheart Ball at her school. They were posing for their picture and she said, "You smell good!" So sweet.

Working together

We are now on our ninth snow day for the year. It is a little crazy. The girls have had fun, but they have also had their share of squabbles as a result of being together so much. So yesterday when they began building some shelves that I bought to put Sarah Beth's toys on, I let them. They worked together with a hammer and screw driver to put together five boards in about two hours. They read the instructions, took turns, and helped one another. All without me asking them to so any of it. It was great, and we have some new shelves as a result!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Emma surprised us tonight with some Valentines that she made about five days ago. She has been keeping them in a secret place ever since. Besides my family, it was the best Valentine I could have gotten!

Annie's sleepy face

When Annie wakes up she always looks extremely sleepy. It takes her a little while to really wake up.

Rock wall

With another snow day on our hands, the girls and I went looking for something to do. This is what we found. They both made it to the top and rang the bell. Sarah Beth cheered them on from her stroller!

Sarah Beth was worn out from all the excitement.

Emmaisms

Emma says these two things quite often and I love it. She probably won't say them too much longer which makes me a little sad.

Gots--Annie gots a blue one.

Mostly--How many did you but? Mostly we bought all they had. She was talking about the preemie clothes we bought for Madeline at the carters outlet.

How to cure an earache

I told Emma that sometimes using a heating pad will help an ear ache. She looked at me like I was nuts but agreed to try. I went and got it and brought it back. I was plugging it in and looked up, and she was laying down with the hearing pad on her back. Then I explained that she needed to lay with the hearing pad on her ear. Ohhhhhhh.

Biggest smile ever...

Doug will generally smile for a picture. He has a great "picture smile." Tonight he became a daddy. We took lots of pictures. His smile is the best and biggest ever. He smiled the most sincere proud smile I have ever seen. Baby Madeline, Doug and Mandy are a sweet, sweet family.

Football banquet

Tim in response to a coach with a snarky remark about a play we made at a ballgame.

I'm not here to make friends. I'm here to win football games.

They were shaking hands after the game. The other coach was trying to get away when Tim pulled him back toward him at the end of the handshake.

Springs

We have uses the same crib with all three girls. All three have loved to play with the little spring on the crib rail. I just love it.

She stands!!

Sarah Beth is doing a great job of standing on her own today. I love the way she holds her hands out for balance.

Annie

Annie is officially growing up. As if her long hair and big eyes (and the fact that the top of her head is above my chin) weren't enough, yesterday she told us that she was too big to play in the Chick Fil A play place. She sat and watched as Emma ran, climbed and slid. Then she looked over and said, "Do you think Sarah Beth would want to go play?"

So she did the big sis thing, and took the baby to Toddler Town. She did sneak in one trip down the slide. She isn't quite grown up yet. Thank goodness!
